Collaboration

Here at Dark Star Publishing we believe in collaboration with other authors. The founder of Dark Star Publishing, Dayne Edmondson, is interested in collaborating in numerous ways with interested authors. Listed below are the types of collaboration offered by Dark Star Publishing.

Note: We are NOT a vanity publisher and will NEVER solicit money from authors in exchange for publishing. As indicated below, under options 1 and 2 the Author pays for cover design and editing but that is paid TO the editor and cover designer of the Author's choice and is not paid to Dark Star Publishing. The only exception is the $50.00 licensing fee listed under option 1 but as noted under that option the Author is retaining all publishing rights.

1. Licensing

Advantage: Author retains full control and all profits

Consideration: Author pays for all editing/cover design and $50.00 licensing fee for permission

  • Author retains ALL publishing rights.
  • Author retains ALL publishing profits.
  • Author finds and pays for their own cover designer and editing/proofreading.
  • Author pays $50.00 licensing fee per title to Dark Star Publishing in exchange for written permission to publish in the Seven Stars Universe.
  • No contract required (only written permission from Dayne Edmondson).
  • Author receives one round of critiques with Seven Stars Universe creator, Dayne Edmondson. Dayne will review the authors manuscript and provide detailed comments about plot, flow and consistency with the rest of the SSU. Author will then take those comments, implement changes and have the manuscript edited. Only upon presentation of FINAL version of manuscript (after critique and editing) will license be offered.
  • Author publishes through their KDP dashboard.
